LITERACY CAMPAIGN

The NSS department has implemented a lot of programs from last three years under the Literacy Campaign. Our professors implemented many programmeslike English speaking and basic introduction to Computer in adopted village Masle- Belpada . Volunteers put great effort to make the village literate.

Apart from this, educational work done by our NSS unit can be seen in adopted village GoveliThakurpada. The NSS department encouraged village literacy & adopted a girl. Ms SeemaHindolesaid that there was not a single girl who went to take higher secondary education. The efforts of NSS department have proved to be a milestone and as a result almost all girls from this tribal village area are now receiving  higher secondary education. Our NSS unit every year distributes educational stationary, notebooks, pens, pads, colours in order to encourage these tribal students. Many of the students who needed financial assistance were helped to seek jobs.

Our NSS department also participated in programs that checked the academic progress of school in Thane and contributed to a social cause
